Miriam is a marketing & communications specialist with experience and expertise in developing insight-based transformational brand strategies and compelling marketing communications for global and local brands. Having worked both agency and client side across her career, Miriam has never lost her restless energy for creating connections between brands and the people who choose them.
As Head of Marketing at British Gas, Miriam has responsibility for a sizeable budget and is proud of the change that her team is driving in creating communications that result in deeper customer engagement. She spent six months leading the Marketing team at the company’s Connected Home business when Hive was launched into the UK market in 2014, before joining ‘the mothership’, British Gas, in October of that year.
Prior to this, Miriam was Chief Brand Officer of Weight Watchers International. New York based and reporting to the company President, she led the global marketing, communications and research functions of this corporation.
Miriam has also been a Regional Account Director at Saatchi & Saatchi, responsible for P&G’s Oil of Olay account and has advised start-up companies Roots&Wings, GoCityGirl and MyShape.com.
In her spare time, she loves travelling and is sporadically working on a novel!
